This Sunday! DSE 60th Anniversary 5K

DSE 60th Anniversary 5K

This Sunday, DSE Runners will be hosting a special event — the DSE 60th Anniversary 5K!

DSE (Dolphin South End) Runners was founded in 1966 and is San Francisco’s oldest running club. They welcome runners and walkers of all levels and organize $10 races in the SF Bay Area on almost every weekend throughout the year.

The course for this Sunday’s 60th Anniversary 5K includes Crissy Field and will feature inspiring views of San Francisco Bay. This event will include special commemorative race swag and a 60th Anniversary medal for all participants!

Members of the SF Runs community can save 20% on the SF Aloha Run (either the 5K or 10K race), which will take place on September 20 at Crissy Field.

Skyline Watershed Ridge Trail Opens

This week, the new Skyline Watershed Ridge Trail was opened to the public. This is the newest section of the Bay Area Ridge Trail, a planned 550-mile trail network around the San Francisco Bay.

The Skyline Watershed Ridge Trail is a six-mile trail that is located in San Mateo County. It was built by the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission and provides new public access to the 23,000-acre Peninsula Watershed and offers views of Crystal Springs Reservoir, the Pacific Ocean, and the San Francisco Bay.

The trail is open to hikers, runners, cyclists, and equestrians. A free permit is required, which you can obtain here.
