Global Running Day is Wednesday, June 3
From A Runners Mind
Global Running Day is Wednesday, June 3rd and there are many activities taking place to celebrate! These include:
A Runners Mind is organizing an all-day running challenge on June 3rd that also serves as a fundraiser for the Bay Area Ridge Trail. Details are available here
Sports Basement is hosting events at their stores throughout the Bay Area on June 3rd. You can view the complete set of events on Eventbrite here. In addition, they’re hosting a kickoff event all day on Sunday, May 31st at Sports Basement Berkeley, featuring raffle prizes, discounts, and a fundraiser for Running for a Better Oakland (info and registration available here).
Last Call! Registration Closes Friday for the 105th Statuto Race 🇮🇹
This Friday is the registration deadline for the 105th Statuto Race, which will take place on Sunday, June 7.
The Statuto Race is a fun and iconic San Francisco event with options for an 8K run or 2 Mile walk. It is one of the oldest running events in the U.S. and is the only race that starts and finishes in North Beach!
Perks include a goody bag, finisher medal, Sports Basement discount, and option for a post-race brunch at the SF Italian Athletic Club.
