1 Million Miles for Justice, "Runner" Documentary, and More
SF Runs - Celebrating and Supporting Bay Area Running
Hello,
I hope you're doing well. Although SF Runs isn’t currently hosting group runs we're continuing to develop programs to support our running community during these challenging times. These programs include weekly online meetups via Zoom, virtual running events (such as the Cure Arthritis Challenge and Race Against Racism), and an updated race calendar featuring virtual races and discounts. New initiatives are in development -- details coming soon!
If you have any feedback or suggestions feel free to contact me at [email protected]. Thanks and stay safe.
Best,Leonard

1. ) Event Spotlight: 1 Million Miles for Justice
There is one week left to register for the 1 Million Miles for Justice. This virtual event benefits the NAACP Empowerment Programs and you can participate via walking, running, or biking.
I've spoken with the event organizers and they're doing amazing work. More than 5,000 people have registered, representing all 50 states, Washington D.C., and 16 countries. You can learn more about this event in this recent interview with Running USA. Registration is $25 and you can sign-up through July 15th. Complete information is at http://1mmj.org/.

2.) Weekly Online Meetup - Tuesdays @ 6:30 pm
SF Runs hosts an online meetup via Zoom every Tuesday at 6:30 pm. You are welcome to attend, even if you haven't attended an in-person group run or are new to SF Runs. These meetups provide an opportunity for local runners to connect, share updates, and more. Details on how to access the meetup are posted each week on the SF Runs homepage.
3.) Tickets Available Until 7/24 for "Runner" Documentary
Tickets are now available for streaming the inspiring documentary "Runner". A portion of ticket sales via this link will benefit Running for a Better Oakland. You can purchase tickets through July 24th.

4.) Job Opportunities @ SF Runs
SF Runs is looking for part-time assistance in a number of digital areas (these are paid/remote roles). If you're interested in being considered please complete this form.
5.) Environmental & Social Impact Job Listings
In addition to my work at SF Runs, I manage Green Jobs Network (GJN), a career platform for social impact and sustainability jobs. If you're looking for work (or know someone who is), the most recent issue of the GJN jobs newsletter was published last week and contains more than 80 listings, including 10+ in the SF Bay Area. You can view this issue via this link.
