Welcome to the November edition of the SF Runs newsletter, which features a listing of Turkey Trots in the Bay Area. I hope your running has been going well and best wishes for a happy & healthy Thanksgiving!

1. Turkey Trot Time!

According to Running USA, more than one million people participated in a Turkey Trot across the U.S. in 2018. In the greater Bay Area more than 20 Turkey Trots are scheduled for 2019. You can view the races below or via the SF Runs website:

NOVEMBER 23 (Saturday before Thanksgiving)

NOVEMBER 24 (Sunday before Thanksgiving)

NOVEMBER 28 (Thanksgiving Day)

San Francisco

East Bay

Peninsula / South Bay

2. SF Runs Update

SF Runs continues to host free community runs on Tuesdays at 6:20 pm on the Embarcadero. As a reminder, the best way to stay up-to-date on our upcoming runs is via this calendar. Newcomers and all paces are always welcome at SF Runs.

One update -- the SF Runs holiday party (and final run for 2019) has been scheduled for Tuesday, December 17th. More information is available here. We look forward to celebrating with you!

3. Richmond-San Rafael Pedestrian / Bike Path Opens on 11/16

On November 16th a new bicycle and pedestrian path will open across the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge. This path is approximately six miles and features amazing views. This page contains more information and maps, including access points to the path. A ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place this Saturday @ 10:00 am (details here).
