Welcome to the return of the SF Runs newsletter! This issue includes race discounts and a calendar of upcoming events. With the arrival of Spring look for more frequent newsletter updates.

1. Registration Open for the 98th Statuto Race!

SF Runs is assisting the San Francisco Italian Athletic Club (SFIAC) with the 2018 Statuto Race, which will be on Sunday, June 3rd. You can choose an 8K run (about 5 miles) or 2 mile walk that starts in the heart of North Beach and travels along the Embarcadero. This event will include goody bags, race awards, and raffle prizes!

The Statuto Race benefits the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Greater Bay Area and SFIAC Sports. Register early for best prices (currently $35 for the 8K and $30 for the 2M) and to guarantee your spot. This event is limited to 250 entrants. Complete information and registration is at StatutoRace.com.

2. Next Community Run - Tuesday 4/24

Join the fun at a SF Runs community run! Our next run is Tuesday 4/24 @ 6:20 pm and will start/finish at the SF Runs office @ Pier 26. Three and four mile routes are available. All paces are welcome and gear check is provided. RSVP via Facebook or Meetup.

3. Paid Opportunity for Runners on 4/26

SF Runs is hiring local runners to serve as pace group leaders for a morning run/walk on 4/26. Here are the details:

  • Date: Thursday, April 26

  • Time: 6:00 am - 8:00 am (includes orientation)

  • Location: Start/finish at Hyatt Regency SF (next to Embarcadero BART)

  • Distance: 5K
