2. May 15 - Special Edition of SF Runs Community Run

On May 15, join SF Runs for a special edition of our Tuesday night run to benefit the Arthritis National Research Foundation. All runners wearing BLUE will receive some cool Cure Arthritis swag. We'll also be raffling off great prizes including a $50 gift certificate from A Runner’s Mind and a $100 Nike Gift Card. 

You can purchase raffle tickets in advance by making a donation at refusetofuse.org. Raffle tickets are 1 for $5, 3 tickets for $10, and 5 tickets for $20. Tickets can also be purchased at the run.

The Arthritis National Research Foundation is the only foundation whose aim is to fund the cutting edge research that will one day lead to a cure for Arthritis, Ankylosing Spondylitis, and other autoimmune diseases that affect 1 in 4 Americans. ANRF is a proud Four Star Charity on Charity Navigator.

Run Details: We'll meet at 6:20 pm on 5/15 at the SF Runs office at Pier 26 on the Embarcadero. Routes up to 4 miles will be available. Gear check and refreshments provided. All paces and newcomers welcome. RSVP via the Facebook event page.

3. Less than One Month Until the Statuto Race!

There is less than one month until the 98th edition of the Statuto Race on Sunday, June 3rd! You can choose an 8K run (about 5 miles) or 2 mile walk that starts in the heart of North Beach and travels along the Embarcadero. This event includes goody bags, race awards, and raffle prizes!

The Statuto Race is produced by the San Francisco Italian Athletic Club (SFIAC) and benefits the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Greater Bay Area and SFIAC Sports. You can save $5 on registration with code "sfruns". Complete information and registration is at StatutoRace.com.

4. Paid opportunities at Escape from Alcatraz

The Escape from Alcatraz Triathlon is hiring people to assist on the run course. This opportunity is on Sunday, June 3rd from 6:30 am - 2:30 pm with total compensation of $112 and you will receive lunch, swag, and a once-in-a-lifetime look behind the scenes of one of the most sought after triathlons in the world!
