1. Run with Meb Keflezighi (October 15 + 16)
Four-time Olympian and NYC & Boston marathon champion Meb Keflezighi will visit the Bay Area this weekend! Runners will have two opportunities to meet Meb and join him in a fun run.

2. Back on My Feet Launching in San Francisco
Back on My Feet, a national nonprofit that combats homelessness through the power of running, community support, and essential employment and housing resources, is launching in SF. I've spoken with the SF Executive Director and will share opportunities for the SF Runs community to support their work as these are announced.
An initial opportunity will be at the SF Urban Challenge. This is a fun fundraiser they are producing that will take place on October 22. More information and registration is available here.
3. Bay Bridge Pedestrian-Bicycle Path to Yerba Buena Island Opening Soon!
An extension of the pedestrian/bike path on the Bay Bridge to Yuerba Buena Island will be opening in the coming weeks. Additional details are available in this story from KQED and this page from Caltrans. We'll provide an update when this extension is officially opened!

5. Paid market research opportunity - Fitness apparel
A San Francisco-based consumer research firm is looking for female runners to test two new pairs of running tights/leggings and participate in a workshop with San Francisco athletic wear designers. Those who are selected to participate will receive $200 + two free pairs of athletic leggings.

6. Next Free Community Run - Oct. 18 @ 6:20 pm at Pier 26
SF Runs will host its next free 4 mile community run along the Embarcadero on October 18 @ 6:20 pm. All paces are welcome and gear check is available.
