1. Next Community Run - Nov. 15 @ 6:20 pm

SF Runs will host its next free 4 mile community run along the Embarcadero on Tuesday, November 15 @ 6:20 pm. All paces are welcome and gear check is available.

These runs start and finish at SF Runs office @ Pier 26. RSVP via the Facebook event page

SF Runs is considering adding additional community runs in the coming months. Feel free to send suggestions to [email protected] with locations/distances/days that you'd like to see!

2. Embarcadero Enhancement Open House on November 17

The SFMTA will be hosting a public open house next week on the Embarcadero Enhancement Project. At the open house you'll have the opportunity to learn more about this project and provide input.

The open house will take place on Thursday, November 17 @ Pier 1 (The Embarcadero at Washington Street) from 4:00 - 7:00pm. Background on this project is available here.

3. Aquatic Park Promenade Closed Until March 2017

A major visitor safety improvement project has begun at the San Francisco Maritime National Historical Park. The Aquatic Park Promenade will be closed for several months for an extensive construction project which will remove railroad tracks from the length of the Promenade and completely repave this popular pathway.

You will see signage to detour through the walkways in Aquatic Park (directly south of the Promenade) during this time. The Aquatic Park Beach and Cove will remain open to the public throughout the project, and be will accessible from the east, via Jefferson Street. The bleachers will remain open, but will be accessible only from the south.

5. Back on My Feet SF Launches Next Week

A reminder -- the following launch events will be taking place next week for the SF chapter of Back on My Feet:

* Pre-launch run & social - 11/15 @ 5:30 pm. Learn about BoMF, get in a 2 mile run, and meet fellow supporters. You will receive a swag bag for a suggested $25 donation. Registration is available here.

* Launch - 11/18 @ 7:00 am. The inaugural run, which will be about 1 mile and include community leaders and the homeless community that BoMF serves. This event is free and will be at Parisoma, 169 11th Street in SF.

6. SFRC Opens Store in San Anselmo

The San Francisco Running Company (SFRC) has recently opened a new store in San Anselmo. The address is 115 Tunstead Ave in San Anselmo, across from the public library. SFRC will be hosting a run from the new store this Sunday, November 13th, starting at 8 am. Runners of all abilities are encouraged and welcome to join for a beautiful ~8 mile loop on the Yolanda trail.
