Congratulations to everyone who participated in a Turkey Trot over the holiday and good luck to those participating in races this weekend, including the North Face Endurance Challenge and California International Marathon! December is looking to be a busy month in the local running community, with holiday-themed races and special events.

1. SF Runs is hiring for writing and outreach roles
SF Runs is seeking runners who have strong skills in either writing or outreach. Examples of writing projects include producing articles on fun or unique places to run in the Bay Area and outreach projects include contacting local races to request discounts. These are paid, paid-time contract roles. To apply please send an e-mail with the following information:

2. Volunteering @ North Face Endurance Challenge
The North Face Endurance Challenge is taking place this weekend in the Marin Headlands and they are seeking additional volunteers. Shifts include:
Dec. 3: Stinson Beach aid station: 8:20am - 2pmDec. 4: Festival: 6:15am - 12:15pm
Volunteers receive benefits including a free North Face shirt and meal -- more details are available here. If you are interested in volunteering e-mail Christine Chapon at [email protected]. I volunteered in 2015 and it was fun!
3. Provide your input @ Golden Gate Park Safety Project
This Saturday, December 3, there is an opportunity to provide input to SF city staff to help establish goals for their efforts to improve safety in Golden Gate Park. This forum is from 10:00 am - noon at the County Fair Building Auditorium, 1199 9th Ave., San Francisco, CA 94122. More information about this event is available here.
