1. Season 4 of SF Runs Begins

SF Runs has launched Season 4 of our community running program. We host free runs on the Embarcadero every Tuesday @ 6:20 pm and occasional "Special Edition" runs in other locations. Our Tuesday runs start/finish at the SF Runs office, located at Pier 26 on the Embarcadero (the pier directly under the Bay Bridge).

You can view a calendar of our upcoming runs here. All paces and newcomers are always welcome at SF Runs!

2. SF Runs 20% Discount @ Sports Basement (1/26 - 2/2)

Thanks for our friends at Sports Basement, SF Runs members can receive a special 20% discount. Also, if you are a member of their Basementeer program your existing discount combines for a total of 28%.

Please show this flyer in-store or use the listed code if purchasing online. Valid from Jan. 26 - Feb 2, 2019.

You can access this flyer directly by clicking here.

3. Race Discounts

SF Runs members can save at the following races. New discounts will be posted regularly on sfruns.com and included in future newsletters.

4. Running Safety Alerts

SF Runs is currently piloting a Running Safety Reporting Form. You can use this form to share safety issues you notice while running or other information (such as a road closure) that can be helpful to other local runners. All entries will be reviewed and shared as appropriate with the local running community via the SF Runs website, social media, and other channels.

You can access the form on SF Runs website or you can send a safety report via e-mail to [email protected].

5. SF RunBase

The Port of San Francisco is in the midst of a process that will eventually lead to the redevelopment of many of the piers on the downtown waterfront. As part of this process the Port requested ideas for public-oriented uses of specific piers.

A total of 52 concepts were submitted -- one of these was a concept submitted by SF Runs for the creation of a resource center for the running community called the SF RunBase. You can view the RunBase concept here and provide feedback to the Port online through January 31.

If you're interested in learning more about this or collaborating on next steps, send an e-mail to [email protected].
